Blank, damaged or mouldy tapes are checked and discussed with you before any work starts.
Audio cassettes digitised to high-quality digital audio using a dedicated cassette deck and professional audio interface. Every tape is captured as a 24-bit WAV master before your listening copies are made.
Standard cassettes up to 90 minutes included. Unusually long recordings or tapes needing repair are quoted separately.
Boxes and envelopes of loose printed photos scanned quickly and carefully, supplied as JPEG files for viewing, sharing, printing and family backup.
Fragile, curled, sticky, torn, mounted or album-bound photos need slower hand scanning and are quoted separately.
Mounted 35mm slides and negatives scanned using dedicated film scanning equipment for better detail than a basic flatbed scan. Supplied as JPEG files.
Very old, faded, scratched or dusty film may still show signs of age. Kodachrome colour can vary with age and condition.

Yes. Faithful transfer is included in the £10 price. Audio cleanup and restoration — reducing hiss and hum, correcting levels and improving speech clarity where possible — is available from £5 per cassette, with anything genuinely difficult quoted first.

Video tapes, audio cassettes and DVDs are £10 each. Loose photo scanning starts at £20 for up to 50 photos. 35mm slide and negative scanning starts at £15 for up to 30 images.
Video is usually supplied as MP4 files. Audio cassettes are supplied as MP3 files, with lossless WAV included on request. Photos, slides and negatives are usually supplied as JPEG files. Other formats can be discussed if needed.
Yes. Your original tapes, cassettes, DVDs, photos, slides and negatives are returned to you.
Yes. A USB copy is available for £10. A download link is included as standard.
Yes. Loose printed photos can be scanned in batches. Photos need to be loose, reasonably clean and suitable for careful auto-feed scanning.
Yes, but albums and fragile items are slower than loose photo scanning and are quoted separately. Loose photos are the most cost-effective option.
Basic automatic correction is included where appropriate. Detailed manual restoration is available separately from £5 per image.
Files are kept temporarily after completion so you have time to download and check them. After that, they are deleted as part of routine housekeeping.
If a tape appears blank, damaged or unreadable, I’ll let you know. Very damaged or mouldy tapes may not be suitable for conversion.
I’ll handle it carefully and use suitable scanning settings where possible, but very old, scratched, mouldy or faded film may still show signs of age. Kodachrome colour correction can vary depending on age and condition.
